Indian director Amjad Khan, who is filming the life of the world’s youngest Nobel laureate Pakistani social worker Malala Yousafzai, has revealed that he is being threatened for filming a Pakistani student.

The trailer of Amjad Khan’s life based on Malala Yousafzai’s movie ‘Gul Makai’ was released on January 10 this month and the movie was announced at the end of this month.

‘Gul Makai’ is the first film directed by Amjad Khan and he started working on the aforementioned film from 2017 and last year was released on the occasion of his short teaser ‘Malala Day’.

Last year, it was also reported that permission was not obtained from a Pakistani Nobel laureate or his family regarding the film made on Malala Yousafzai’s life. The team did not specify.

After the trailer of the movie was released, director Amjad Khan has revealed that the threat to him is still ongoing and he has been receiving threats for quite some time.

Talking to the Indian news agency ‘Indo-Asian News Service’ (IANS), Amjad Khan said that he was surprised that the gaze of his film ‘Gul Makai’ was disturbing to people.

He said that his film was released in London last year under the UN (UN) and his film was also seen by Malala Yousafzai and her father.

He claimed that Malala and her father were sitting in their seat full time while watching the movie and after watching the movie, Malala’s father Ziauddin Yousafzai told them that they had presented the interpretation of their dreams. ۔

Amjad Khan also claimed that Malala Yousafzai also appreciated the film made on her life and she was enthusiastic while watching the film while during many scenes she also closed her fist emotionally.

According to the director, no one got up from his seat during the screening of the film at the headquarters of the United Nations and the women watching the film were shocked while watching the film.

“The film is based on the early life of Malala Yousafzai. It shows the time before the attack on Malala, but the film also shows her attack,” he said in reference to the film.

Amjad Khan said that the movie ‘Gul Makai’ is not just a story of Malala Yousafzai, it is a story of a soldier and a people, including the story of every woman and it should be seen by everyone.

Referring to the film’s cast, he said that he had initially selected a Bangladeshi girl for Malala Yousafzai’s character, but later he cast Indian Muslim actress Ramesh Sheikh.

He is proud to work with actors like Atal Kulkarni and Divya Dutta and says that he has cast good actors in the film.

According to Amjad Khan, Om Puri will also be shown in the film and this will be his last film as well as a movie that is being released after his death.

Responding to a question asked about casting Pakistani actors in the film, Amjad Khan said that when he started working on the film, there was tension between Pakistan and India and the ban on Pakistani actors working in India. Because of which he did not cast Pakistani actors.

The film, based on the life of Malala Yousafzai, will be released around the world including India at the end of this month, but it is unlikely to be released due to the ban on Indian films in Pakistan.

Gul Makai’s cast and the entire team are Indian while its production is also done in India.
